Captain Neko-Mimi (comic)

The Romantic Adventures of Neko-Mimi, Starship Captain is a idea for a webcomic. The comic is a playful combination of anime and Star Trek fandom, revolving around a lesbian catgirl. It is unknown if it will ever be developed.

Characters

Captain Neko-Mimi

Mimi is a member of a species baring a striking resemblance to Catgirls common in Japanese pop-culture in the late 20th and 21st centuries. Despite her alien ancestry, she was born on Earth and raised Northern England. For this reason, she carries a distinct British accent. When she was of age, she applied and was accepted to StarFleet Academy.

Mimi rose quickly through StarFleet ranks. While not the most technically skilled, her quick thinking and courage in dangerous situations impressed her superiors. She was promoted to the rank of Captain and assigned the USS Equestrian.

Despite her success behind the helm, she has been a continual failure at dating. While Mimi dismisses her failures in this vein, rumors have circulated among the crew becoming a kind of in-joke. Prior to a major overhaul of the Equestrian's computer systems, Mimi attended an academic conference outlining many key-upgrades. Attending this conference was T'renn, a Vulcan specializing in isolinear subprocessors. Rumors of Mimi's pick-up lines were regarded -- among the presenters -- as some of the worst in the entire conference.

Mimi had not attempted to court T'renn. Mimi didn't consider Vulcans. At a reception after the conference, Mimi became intoxicated from Aldeberan Whiskey and told her sob story to the barkeep. Coincidentally, T'renn was in the seat next to her. Despite her inebriated state, T'renn thought Mimi a promising young captain. The two began dating shortly thereafter.

To date, Mimi avoids most intoxicating beverages including Aldeberan Whiskey. When stressed, Mimi after orders herself Miso Soup.

T'renn

A full-blooded Vulcan, T'renn developed an early interest in computing systems. Her determination and talent put her on the cutting edge of development. T'renn's family arraigned a marriage which she fulfilled in the first quarter of her life. She bore two children. During their teenage years, their father met an untimely end. Mimi continued to raise her children to age while pursuing her study of computing technology.

T'renn is often questioned about her relationship with Mimi. A Vulcan engaging in a lesbian relationship with a (supposedly) spastic species didn't seem to make sense. T'renn, however, thought quite the contrary. Having fulfilled her mating-obligation to her family, T'renn saw no reason to dismiss advances from women. She instead thought it best not to deny herself any possible experiences. Mimi was, after all, a promising young captain. Furthermore, her feline nature had a calming effect. T'renn once described Mimi's tail as "hypnotic".
